May 17, 2010. Burlington, Wash. Legend Brands has promoted two long-time Legend Brands employees to key leadership roles.

John Ormsby, V.P. of Sales and Marketing at Legend Brands since 2006, has been promoted to President of Dri-Eaz Products and ProRestore Products. During his 10-year career with Dri-Eaz, John has strengthened the company’s position as the leading provider of restoration equipment. He has also overseen the integration of ProRestore Products since it was acquired in December 2007. ProRestore, located in Coraopolis, Penn., is the leading provider of specialty restoration chemicals for odor and microbial control and for smoke and fire remediation.

“In today’s challenging business environment, it’s more important than ever to be flexible and responsive to our customers,” notes Bill Bruders, CEO of Legend Brands. “John’s reputation as a keen observer of business trends and his excellent customer relations skills make him ideally suited for this lead role with Dri-Eaz and ProRestore.”

Steve Henkel, Director of Manufacturing at Dri-Eaz since October 2008, will take responsibility for manufacturing across all three companies operated by Legend Brands, which includes Dri-Eaz, ProRestore, and Sapphire Scientific.

Steve joined Dri-Eaz in 2003 as a senior quality engineer, and was tasked with initiating new quality and lean manufacturing programs at Dri-Eaz . Steve was then promoted to Industrial Production Manager, then Manufacturing Manager, and then to Director of Manufacturing.

Bill notes that Steve continues to make outstanding improvements to Legend Brands manufacturing. “He has been a critical force behind the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques at Dri-Eaz, and his experience and commitment to excellence is already bringing tremendous improvements to operations at ProRestore and Sapphire.”
