SteamMaster, a Minturn, Colo.-based carpet-cleaning company, hosted its first charity golf tournament at Cotton Ranch in the fall. The tournament was held in memory of Kim Matthews, an employee of SteamMaster who died of liver cancer in May.

“Kim was like family to the employees of SteamMaster over the last 10 years,” said owner Gary Gilman. “She always gave unselfishly of herself. We created this tournament in her honor to remember her by and to raise funds for her wonderful family and the Shaw Cancer Center.”

The event grossed more than $44,000.
