As the saying goes, the only constant is change. This is readily apparent in the restoration industry, as service providers continually face a changing landscape when dealing with insurance carriers.

Q: I
recently inspected a sandbag-constructed home with a concrete/stucco-type
coating on both the exterior and interior of the building. The building was
constructed around the mid 1960s. The indoor relative humidity was almost 100
percent, and the walls pegged my moisture meter.
By the time you read this, the Connections Conference and
Exhibition will be gone, but not forgotten; I was inspired to write this
month’s article based on a meeting I attended there.
