3M Commercial Care Division is introducing a full line of Scotchgard- and 3M-brand products that create the 3M Carpet Care System. The line is designed to "Clean and Protect," according to the company, by utilizing a combination of products to “provide optimum carpet appearance and enhance customers’ return on their carpet investment.”

According to 3M Commercial Care, the five categories of carpet maintenance are identified as preventative; daily and specialty; interim; restorative; and protective.
