3M introduces the new professional, in-home applied Scotchgard Protector for Carpet and Upholstery. Celebrating 50 years since it was first introduced, Scotchgard has been reformulated to provide what the company describes as an “even better defense against tough stains than the current product.”

“Creating reliable and effective carpet and upholstery protection products is important to us,” said Denny Stevens, marketing manager for 3M’s Protective Materials Division. “The reformulated Scotchgard protector combines 3M’s innovative and breakthrough technology to meet consumer demands of today’s market.”

The reformulated product boasts improved soil resistance, water repellency and stain-release benefits, the company said.
