So. Cal. BOMA to Implement Plans for Growth

Tustin, Calif. (Business Wire) -- The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Orange County has announced aggressive plans for growth in 2001 by expanding programs to further contribute to the commercial real estate industry in Southern California.

New board President Perry Schonfeld, senior vice president of Layton-Belling & Associates stated: "BOMA of Orange County represents an industry of commercial real estate property owners and managers consisting of approximately 9,000 office buildings, retail centers, office parks, and institutional properties in Orange County. This industry is vital to the county's growth and economic future. In 2001, BOMA Orange County will continue to be a dominant voice for the commercial real estate industry and will work aggressively with government leaders on real estate issues affecting the economy of Orange County."

To begin the New Year, the Third Annual BOMA Orange County Forecast Luncheon will be held Feb. 1 at the Irvine Hyatt with more than 200 industry professionals. The key speaker is Richard Sim of The Irvine Company. Seats are available by calling 714/505-6499.

Additional board members include: Brenna S. Walraven, RPA, director of property management, USAA Realty Co., Michael M. McClune, CEO, MKC Management Services, Bob Sanchez, vice president and general manager, DMS Janitorial Services, Kathy Leigh, RPA, FMA, senior property manager, Birtcher Property Services, Tom Grochow, director of facilities and property operations, Orange County Register and Peggy Sanchez, RPA, general manager, Cushman & Wakefield. BOMA Orange County is one of more than 70 individual BOMA organizations in cities worldwide offering education, legislative action, building standards, safety, and other issues with BOMA International in Washington D.C.
