(Minturn, CO Oct. 10, 2007) – SteamMaster Restoration & Cleaning, LLC recently raised $35,721.30 from its third annual Charity Golf Tournament. This tournament was held to benefit the Kim Matthews Scholarship Fund, Swift Eagle Charitable Foundation, Shaw Regional Cancer Center and the Vail Valley Charitable Fund.

The SteamMaster charity Golf Tournament was founded and is organized by SteamMaster Restoration & Cleaning, LLC in memory of Kim Matthews, their Marketing Director, who passed away of liver cancer in May 2005.

The event was held on Friday, September 14, at the Eagle Ranch Golf Course. Nestled in the Eagle River Valley, Eagle Ranch is an Arnold Palmer Signature designed 18-hole Championship course for players of all abilities.

The tournament had 32 teams of foursome in attendance this year. Since 2005, the tournament has raised $145,000 for local charities. Two sponsors, Dex Media and Shaw Constructions made an impact with their sponsorship dollars by sponsoring youth teams to play in the tournament. Dex Media was represented by Eagle Valley High School team and Shaw Construction was represented by The Youth Foundation.

"Thanks so much for the opportunity given to us by Shaw Construction to play in the SteamMaster Golf tournament. We had a wonderful time. We spend our working lives doing things to help kids in need. It was fun to be able to support another organization that strives to help others as well." said Dave Kolquist of The Youth Foundation.

Chip Webb, CEO of Vail Summit Orthopaedics said “The SM golf tournament is a great deal of fun. As a sponsor that has participated for 3 years we appreciate that our dollars are going to worthwhile community charities and the exposure is great!”

"The SteamMaster Golf Tournament was the largest charity golf tournament we've hosted at Eagle Ranch Golf Club," said Jeff Boyer, the Director of Golf where the tournament was hosted.

“The SteamMaster Golf Outing was a terrific time. It was well organized, fun and raised money for some great causes, the Kim Matthews Scholarship Fund, the Shaw Regional Cancer Center and the Swift Eagle Foundation. Thanks to all at SteamMaster that made the day special,” said the President and CEO of Vail Valley Medical Center, Gregory Repetti.

Richard tenBraak, the Director of Travel and Tourism for Vail Valley Partnership commented, “The Vail Valley Partnership enjoyed having the opportunity to participate in such a great event. The SteamMaster Charity Golf Tournament is one that we will be looking forward to every year. A must do, for those that are civic minded and enjoy a good round of golf!”

Swift Eagle Charitable Foundation, a new beneficiary of this tournament helps local residents in crisis situations. Shaw Regional Cancer Center, another beneficiary of this tournament, is the only Cancer Center serving the mountain communities of the central Rockies.
