Kay Burbank has cleaned houses for 27 years - since the age of 14. However, according to a story in The Daily Courier, she and her husband, Aaron, owners of Krazy Kay's Cleaning & More, recently took on another specialty that some of their competition might shy away from: crime-scene cleanups.
Cleaning up crime scenes takes a "special kind of person - an unselfish kind of person," Kay said. "This is how I view my job. Not just anybody could work in a prison. I could not be a newspaper reporter and I can't sit behind a desk all day."
The Burbanks took on their first crime-scene cleanup in March at a home where a double homicide and fire occurred "Any type of occurrence like that, you are going to want to remedy the situation right away," said Spencer Collett, executive facilitator and real estate agent at USA Real Estate in Prescott Valley. "It is bad on the neighbors."
