CFI: A Message from the Outgoing President

The 2012 Connections saw the CFI hold its annual general meeting and it was a time for reflection. My two years as president is up, and I hand over the reins to a new president, Mr. Steve Kaufman. 
 
Steve has been associated with CFI for many years and I know that his tenure will be successful and exciting.
 
My two years has not been easy - we have had many conflicts to deal with and I feel we have dealt with them in the professional manner which CFI is known for. We also have had success. We had a tremendous customer appreciation day held at The Academy of Flooring & Textiles by kind permission of our gracious host Bobbie Williams. Recently we held a Cleaning College which we co-hosted with our great friends to the north, CCINW. I thank their President, Mr. Dan Joner, and the CCINW crew, and also I would like to thank all of our industry friends who have supported all of our chapter meetings.
 
Finally I have to say a big thanks to my Board of Directors: Matt Cole, Terrance Jones, James Casas, Josh Adler, Lisa Wagner and our incoming president, Mr. Steve Kaufman. And of course I must not forget our behind-the-scenes person Kim Cole. Without their hard work and dedication there would be no CFI. Remember - they are volunteers, they are unpaid for all of their time and hard work, and they do it for all of our members who I must also give a big “thank you” to for all of their support.
 
Although I step down as president, I will still be involved as I take over as chairman for one year. So you will still see me around.
