2012 was a year of growth, not only in terms of the numbers of members, but within the organizational structure and as part of a new international cleaning and restoration trade association. This growth is in part a result of CRA’s attempt to assist its members in reaching new clients, thereby providing greater exposure of their companies to the buyers of their services. We have created several websites as consumer sites such as www.aboutrestoration.com. We have similar sites for insurance companies, adjusters, property managers and more on the way.

 

Our education and events programs have also increased. In 2013, the conference and convention formerly known as “Connections” will be referred to as the “The Experience.” There is a new improved educational approach to the conference and convention program, so don’t miss out. CRA members receive a discount when attending these events. We have also seen more regional workshops being offered, especially in Southern California. In Northern California, we held CRA’s first annual Fall Golf Tournament and it was a success. There is also a NorCal risk management workshop in the planning stages. Southern California is organizing a golf tournament to be held each year in the spring. New workshops are being planned for Phoenix, Portland and Seattle, so stay involved and help us grow and improve.

 

CRA has agreed to affiliate with a new trade association called the International Cleaning and Restoration Association (ICRA). As a member of this group, we will enjoy additional educational programs from some of the nation’s top trainers such as Barry Costa (a CRA Board member), Dr. Dan Bernazzani and more. If you are a CRA member, CRA pays your dues into ICRA. As a CRA member, you automatically become an ICRA member. Companies can only become an ICRA through one of the seven regional associations.
