MoreARCS members will meet in Durham, North Carolina from May 2-4, 2013 to address “Business Trends and Bends in the Road Ahead,” according to a press release from ARCS president Bill Foulds.
The meeting program will provide owners and managers with strategic tools for promoting their businesses and improving customer relations, as well as functional information for use in their cleaning plants. Chris Reimer, an award-winning social media strategist and VP of Social Media at Falk Harrison, will be on hand at the meetings. Anise Starnes, Regional Development Director for Constant Contact Inc., will also be at the event.
Doug Lay, well known in the oriental rug industry, offers both his own wholesale lines nationally as well as his family's regional retail operation, The Persian Carpet, Inc. in Durham, North Carolina. Mr. Lay will speak to ARCS members on customer buying preferences, with slides and a presentation on older and reproduction rugs. The Persian Carpet will also host a reception at their facilities on evening of May 2, 2013 in the evening.
Justin Woodard, third generation owner of Woodard's Cleaning and Restoration in St. Louis, MO, will present "Improving Dry Room Efficiency." Regardless of the size of your drying room or the method you use to dry rugs, this presentation will help you dry them faster with less energy.
The event will also offer an optional mill tour of Karastan Carpet Mill in Eden, North Carolina, with a box lunch provided.
Saturday's morning will start with an ARCS Annual meeting and elections of Officers and Board of Directors. The afternoon will be devoted to round table discussions to close out the event. For more information, please visit www.rugcarespecialists.org.
