Longtime Colorado carpet cleaner George Barnes passed away on February 7, 2013. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Heather Ridge Golf Course in Aurora, CO.
Barnes’ longtime friend, Mike Arrigo, Owner of Noah’s Restoration, had this to say about his friend of 23 years:
“We lost one of our dearest carpet cleaners in the carpet cleaning industry. George was like a brother to me. We had a great friendship for 23 years. We were just a phone call away and we would go to help each other on a whim. George was just getting ready to semi-retire and move to Michigan to be close to his daughter… We weren’t partners, but we were always there for each other. We learned from each other and we never had an argument in 23 years. George was the type of person that when he told you he would do something, he meant it. He never went back on his word. If a customer upset him, George wouldn’t say anything. (He’d do) just the opposite, he would bend over backwards to make them happy… He will be sadly missed, both in the carpet industry and as a friend.”
