The Inland Empire Chapter had its annual “Give Back” event at the Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda, CA on January 12. CFI members once again came together to help clean all the carpets and upholstery in the house. It is a good feeling assisting those who help the families with sick children. CTI Chemicals donated all the cleaning products needed to clean the house. Big “thanks” also goes to all the companies that gave up their time to help out: Serena Compton and Kelly Sims from Interlink of Ontario, Ralph Denning, Spotless Inc., Attila Iklady, A Nu-Look, Terry Jones, Terry Jones Carpet Services and Pro’s Choice.

 

The Central Coast Chapter had a meeting at McNevin Cleaning Specialist in South San Francisco on January 22. Vice President Bill Nicolay gave a great presentation on drapery and fine window covering cleaning. Bill made a hand-out explaining what to look for regarding the precautions of the cleaning of drapes and blinds. Bill also demonstrated how to clean blinds using his ultrasonic machine and also showed the members their no-solvent drapery cleaning machine. Everyone there had lots of questions and Bill and his crew answered all of them. After the meeting, all the members were networking and talking about how good and informative the meeting was. Thank you to Bill and the McNevins Cleaning Specialist crew for hosting the meeting and providing a great Mexican dinner for all the CFI members!
