Betco Corp. used its XBF technology to produce Hybrid 25, an optically energized, extended wear floor finish that is designed to reduce maintenance and prolong time between stripping. Specifically formulated for medium maintenance programs, Hybrid 25 is self-sealing and its leveling properties are designed for easy application with all types of applicators.

The XBF technology in Hybrid 25 absorbs ultraviolet radiation, the primary cause of yellowing in surface coatings, and re-emits the destructive radiation as visible light, increasing a floor’s shine and brightness by as much as 10 to 15 percent, the company says. In addition, XBF prevents oxidation by eliminating the oxygen cross-linking, usually formed by high speed buffing, according to Betco.
