Gordon Hanks, CEO of Salt Lake City based Bridgewater, Inc., announces the acquisition of Groom Industries, a leading manufacturer of carpet and upholstery grooming tools and Perky Spotter. Well known Groom products include the Grandi, Handi and Whiz grooming rakes and brushes.

Groom Industries’ operations will be fully integrated into Bridgewater’s family of professional cleaning and restoration companies which include Bridgepoint Systems Chemicals, Hydroforce Manufacturing, TES high-speed structural drying systems, CRW Supply, Interlink Supply, and Interlink Financial Services. Frank Beach, President of Groom Industries will remain with the company.

In a prepared statement, Hanks acknowledged, “We are very excited about adding Groom to the Bridgewater family. Groom’s dominance in the carpet grooming tools market combined with Mr. Beach’s long-term industry experience make Groom an ideal partner for our supply networks. The Perky brand of carpet spotting solutions has been used successfully by cleaning professionals and consumers alike for many years.”

Beach stated, “This acquisition allows Groom to continue to grow, provide even better customer service and stocking for our customers, and expose our complete product line to the entire industry.”
