BSCAI Elects 2011 Board of Directors

CHICAGO – Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) recently elected new members to leadership positions for the 2011 term of office.

Serving as BSCAI President in 2011, Sally Schopmeyer is only the second woman to ever hold the position. As a member since 1990, her involvement with the organization has been extensive throughout the years. Schopmeyer is President of Maintenance, Inc. located in Dallas, Texas, which provides janitorial service for commercial offices, medical facilities, industrial plants, owner-occupied facilities and shopping centers in Texas, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama. Schopmeyer started with Maintenance, Inc. in 1990.

Outside of BSCAI, she is currently on the Advisory Board of the Dallas Children's Theater and has served two three-year terms on their board of trustees. She is active in her church, local Chamber of Commerce and is secretary of her children’s school board.

BSCAI’s 2011 President-Elect is Terry Woodley, CBSE; a member of BSCAI since 1972. Woodley is currently Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Woodley Building Maintenance (WBM), a full-service cleaning and facilities maintenance company serving clients in Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Florida and Arizona. He has been a full-time member of the family-owned company’s management team since 1997, where his primary role is the “Customer Guy,” responsible for attracting new customers and maintaining existing ones. Since he joined WBM, the company has grown from 300 employees to more than 1,000.

Woodley graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Accounting in 1988. Immediately after finishing his degree, Woodley spent four years with Touche Ross (now known as Deloitte) and then five years as the Chief Financial Officer of a large international seminar company.

Serving as BSCAI’s 2011 Vice President is Kevin S. Rohan, CBSE. Rohan started Cavalier Services in 1977 and continues today as the President and CEO. A full-service facilities service company, Cavalier offers cleaning, maintenance, light engineering, construction and personnel leasing services to a wide range of clients. Cavalier operates primarily in the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. Rohan has been deeply involved in BSCAI, chaired several committees and spoken at numerous convention and regional seminars. In addition to BSCAI, he has been a Past President and board member of the Capitol Association of Building Service Contractors.

Serving as 2011 Treasurer, Yasser Youssef has been a member of BSCAI since 1974. He has made great contributions to the organization as a member of the Board of Directors in 2009 and 2010, and also as Technology Committee Chair in 2010. Outside of BSCAI, Youssef recently became President of The Budd Group, a North Carolina facilities management company where he is responsible for all operational branches and corporate shared service functions of the company. Prior to his current position, he served as Chief Operating Officer since 2004.

Prior to joining The Budd Group, Youssef was the President and Founder of Workforce Solutions. The Budd Group acquired his HR consulting firm, which was focused on assisting organizations with their recruitment selection, development and retention of their high-potential human talent. Prior to founding Workforce Solutions, Youssef was a staffing industry executive with Fortune 1000 companies for over 15 years. He held positions of progressive responsibility in sales, sales management and executive level general management and earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina. Youssef is also active in Young Life and his church.

Serving as BSCAI’s Immediate Past President in 2011 is J. Michael Horgan. His contributions to the building service contracting industry span more than 40 years. A graduate of Loyola College in Montreal with an Honors Degree in History, Horgan previously served as BSCAI’s President, Vice-President and Treasurer. He has been actively involved with the Building Maintenance Contractors Association of Canada as Past President in 1980 and in 1981 and was a BSCAI board member from 1997-2000. He is also the proud recipient of the W.I.S Hogg award for International Achievement.

Since 1980, Horgan has been a member of the executive team at Hurley Corporation, a leading North American BSC, and currently holds the position of Chairman where he is responsible for corporate strategic planning, major accounts and acquisitions. Horgan volunteers outside the industry as a board member of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre foundation in Toronto as well as with other medical and education foundations.
