CHICAGO – Building Service Contractors Association
International (BSCAI) recently elected new members to leadership positions for
the 2012 term of office. <br><br>
Serving as BSCAI President in
2012, Taylor Bruce, CBSE, is President of IH Services, Inc. In 1955, IH
Services began as a small family owned business in Greenville, South Carolina
providing restroom cleaning to gas stations and restaurants. Over the past
several decades, IH Services, which is still owned by the same family, has
grown steadily by providing quality, consistent services to its customers and a
broad range of cleaning and support services. Today, IH Services has a presence
in 16 states offering positive outcomes and solutions to customers. IH
Services, Inc. has been a BSCAI contractor since 1980. Bruce has been deeply
involved in BSCAI throughout the years serving on the Board of Directors,
Executive Committee, as well as Annual Convention and Certification Chairs.
Bruce holds a B.S. in management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State
University – Pamplin College of Business. <br><br>
BSCAI’s 2012 President-Elect is
Kevin S. Rohan, CBSE. Rohan started Cavalier Services in 1977 and continues
today as the President and CEO. A full-service facilities service company,
Cavalier offers cleaning, maintenance, light engineering, construction and
personnel leasing services to a wide range of clients. Cavalier operates
primarily in the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. Rohan has served
as 2011 Vice President, chaired several committees and spoken at numerous
convention and regional seminars. In addition to BSCAI, he has been a Past
President and board member of the Capitol Association of Building Service
Contractors. <br><br>
Serving as BSCAI’s 2012 Vice
President is Yasser Youssef. Most recently, Youssef has served as a member of
the Board of Directors in 2009 and 2010, Technology Committee Chair in 2010 and
Treasurer in 2011. Outside of BSCAI, Youssef recently became President of The
Budd Group, a North Carolina facilities management company where he is
responsible for all operational branches and corporate shared service functions
of the company. Prior to his current position, he served as Chief Operating
Officer since 2004. The Budd Group has been a member of BSCAI since 1974.
Before joining The Budd Group, Youssef was the President and Founder of
Workforce Solutions. The Budd Group acquired his HR consulting firm, which was
focused on assisting organizations with their recruitment selection,
development and retention of their high-potential human talent. <br><br>
Serving as 2011 Treasurer is Paul
Greenland, CBSE, President of Aetna Building Maintenance. Greenland has changed
Aetna’s strategic focus to go beyond the traditional janitorial cleaning to
include; recycling, production support, industrial services, supply
distribution, green cleaning and a multitude of other services. He has been
active in the industry since the age of 14, initially washing the company
trucks and making sure the warehouse was clean. After earning his B.S. in
business management from Indiana University, he worked for another janitorial
company out of state to learn the ropes. Greenland has served as Branch
Manager, Director of Business Development, Vice President of Operations, and
now President. The company is over 1,400-employees-strong in seven states.
Giving back to the community is important and Paul is a strong supporter of;
Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Goodwill, Special Olympics, COSI (Center of
Science and Industry), Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and is
currently working with his team to break ground during the Fall of 2011 on a
Community Garden to benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. <br><br>
Serving as BSCAI’s Immediate
Past President in 2012 is Sally Schopmeyer. Schopmeyer is President of
Maintenance, Inc. located in Dallas, Texas, which provides janitorial service
for commercial offices, medical facilities, industrial plants, owner-occupied
facilities and shopping centers in Texas, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico,
Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama.
Maintenance, Inc. became a member in 1990 when Schopmeyer joined the
organization. Outside of BSCAI, she is currently on the Advisory Board of the
Dallas Children's Theater and has served two three-year terms on their board of
trustees. <br><br>
