CHICAGO – Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), the trade association of the building service industry, announced in December 2006 that it has selected SmithBucklin as its full-service management company. BSCAI relocated as of January 1, 2007 from Fairfax, VA to SmithBucklin’s offices in Chicago, Illinois.

BSCAI represents a worldwide network of more than 2,000 member companies from across the U.S. and 30 other countries who provide cleaning, facility maintenance, and other related services to building owners and managers. The association provides educational programs, publications, video training programs, seminars, and networking opportunities, all developed specifically for the building service contracting industry.

Donald L. Pottieger, Sr., CBSE, BSCAI’s president, will also be passing the gavel to John Ezzo at the Board meeting on January 23, 2007. John S. Ezzo, CBSE, is President and CEO of New Image Building Services, Inc., a full-service, commercial cleaning company that services Metro Detroit, Greater Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo, and Las Vegas with annual sales exceeding $15 million. New Image was awarded Building Owners and Managers Association Supplier of the Year, has serviced seven past TOBY Award Winning Buildings and is a four-time recipient of BSCAI Safety Award. He also owns The Maids Home Services residential franchise and Metro Steam Cleaning, both based in Troy, Michigan.

John was a founding member of the Affiliated Building Service Contractors in Michigan serving in all officer positions, including President, and currently serving as Vice President. Dedicated to the community, John is actively involved in the Anton Art Center, The Birmingham Historical Society, March of Dimes, American Liver Foundation, American Cancer Society, and the American Heart Association.

“I am confident that SmithBucklin’s people, their unparalleled expertise, and their breadth of resources will help us expand our reach and allow us to provide best-in-class services to our members,” said Don Pottieger. “This partnership, coupled with John’s keen leadership and extensive understanding of our industry, will undoubtedly take our organization to next level.”
