This licensing agreement is another example of P&G's new initiative to find and set up licensing agreements, which will enhance the brand equity of many well-known P&G products.
BHP is a 53-year-old, family owned-and-operated business, which provides innovative, effective solutions to common cleaning dilemmas consumers face today. The firm's licensing agreement with Procter & Gamble is expected to bring significant growth to its cleaning tools category due to the high recognition and trust that millions of consumers place in the Mr. Clean brand name.
The new Mr. Clean products will include an assortment of mops, brooms, brushes, buckets and other cleaning accessories. Each item will be packaged with the Mr. Clean design and will incorporate the Mr. Clean logo directly on the products. The Butler Home Products "Mr. Clean" Cleaning Tools debuted at the 2001 International Housewares Show held in Chicago January 14-17.
