FLAGSTAFF, Az. -- Friday, March 27, 2009 -- A local carpet and upholstery cleaning business and a document shredding company are teaming with the Coconino High School robotics team to help send the students to the world championship games.
Clean-King will donate 30 percent from every paid carpet/upholstery cleaning, with a goal of 100 customers in three weeks. KT's Shredding & More is donating $5 for every $10 box of shredding, with a goal of 3,000 boxes in three weeks. If just the shredders reach their goal, the CocoNuts will pick up $15,000-- well more than the $10,000 they need to travel to Atlanta and enter the contest. The CocoNuts qualified for worlds this month after winning a prestigious regional Chairman's Award, the highest merit award that rewards students who are ambassadors for science and engineering culture.
