Carpet One names Woody vice president of merchandising

MANCHESTER, NH -- Sands Woody has been named vice president of merchandising for Carpet One, a division of CCA Global Partners.

Most recently, Woody served as president of Rug Décor, a division of CCA Global Partners specializing in branded, fashion-oriented area and accent rugs. He was instrumental in developing innovative merchandising concepts while overseeing the company's day-to-day operations and management.

Woody, a 35-year veteran in the flooring industry, joined CCA Global Partners in 1998 with the acquisition of America's Carpet Gallery where he was the company's founder and president.

Woody was instrumental in developing innovative merchandising concepts, many which were adopted and are currently used by Flooring America, a CCA Global affiliate company that merged with America's Carpet Gallery in 2001, according to Carpet One.

In his new position at Carpet One, Woody's responsibilities will span a broad spectrum and include day-to-day management of all retail buying activities in addition to merchandising strategy, development and execution. Woody will report to Charlie Dilks and Dean Marcarelli, co-chief operating officers.
