CETA meets Education Foundation goal

The Cleaning Equipment Trade Association Board of Trustees has met its Education Foundation's "Industry Challenge," which was put forth at the PowerClean 2000 Convention, in Atlanta.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Cleaning Equipment Trade Association Board of Trustees has thanked the members and friends whose contributions, during this year, enabled the Education Foundation to more than meet the goal of the "Industry Challenge," which was put forth at the PowerClean 2000 Convention, in Atlanta. The outpouring of support will allow us to continue our scholarship program and increase our industry education efforts.

The organization credited Roy Chappell of Chappell Supply, Oklahoma City, for issuing the "Industry Challenge" and backing the challenge with a $10,000 personal contribution if the industry could meet the goal by the end of PowerClean 2001." This contribution continues Roy's long-standing support of the Education Foundation," CETA said in a letter to members. "The CETA Education Foundation began through Roy's efforts and original generous contribution."

The Board of Trustees also recognized Bob "The Hammer" Griswold, of Apache Industrial Cleaning Systems, for his last minute campaign for contributions, which allowed CETA to meet and then exceed the challenge just before the deadline.

The Education Foundation awards of three scholarships yearly, as well as for CETA industry educational efforts continue; "therefore the need for member support and contributions continues. We have counted on your help in the past, and we will need your continued support into the future. Your yearly contributions are vital to our efforts," CETA said.

The Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (www.ceta.org) is an international non-profit trade association made up of manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers who coordinate their efforts to promote public awareness, professionalism, industry-wide safety standards, and education for the advancement of the powered cleaning equipment industry.
