The San Diego chapter of the CFI recently held a chapter meeting featuring a presentation on the new guidelines for carpet warranties from carpet mills Mohawk, Shaw and Beaulieu beginning with carpet sold in 2007. There was much discussion and speculation on how these new guidelines would play out over the next several years.

A second discussion on “Working in High-End Homes” completed the well-attended meeting. Plans were also made for participating in a charity-cleaning event at the San Diego Ronald McDonald House, along with the Orange/Inland CFI chapter’s charity cleaning of two Ronald McDonald Houses in their service area.  A carpet cleaners’ swap meet will also be scheduled for Dec. 2 in San Diego.

Check the CFI website for details of these and other events.

CFI also announces the newest additions to the CFI Board. Graham Bedwell of Intex Solutions in Montebello, Calif., has joined the CFI board as co-director of the Orange County/Inland Empire Chapter, and Yoram Klain of Pacific Carpet Care in Encino has joined the board as the co-director of the Los Angeles Chapter.
