The meeting focused on regulations and permit requirements concerning wastewater disposal for carpet cleaners and water damage restorers. Lonnie Ayers, Abraham Razor and K. Majid Sadeghi from The L.A. County Bureau of Sanitation provided an in-depth Power Point presentation and explained everything owners and technicians should know concerning disposal of wastewater collected during carpet cleaning or water-damage mitigation.
The Los Angeles Chapter meeting at Niagara Carpet and Cleaning Systems June 29 featured CFI Executive Director, Master Cleaner and Master Restorer Mike Perras teaching a "hands-on" carpet repair seminar. Attendees were encouraged to bring their tools and learn from a pro.

The Arizona chapter recently held a meeting at Interlink Supply. Truckmount maintenance was taught by Clint Morrill, Interlink Supply's service manager. He went over topics including how to solve loss of water pressure or vacuum problems when on the job, how to de-scale your system, and other great time-and-labor-saving tips.
The San Diego chapter held its most recent meeting at Interlink Supply's Carpet Cleaners Emporium, with Howard Partridge as the guest speaker. The topic was how to evaluate diversification add-on services and products. Partridge walked the group through the process of figuring out the best services and products to add to their business from practical and profitable aspects.
At the June 29 meeting at A&I Services in Santee, Calif., Tim Baker from Prochem gave some insight on new water-damage restoration technology, and how to get into cleaning tile & grout and stone floors as a diversification service.
