CFI Los Angeles Chapter Director Vince Attardo has confirmed that the May meeting will feature special guest speaker, CFI supporter, and IICRC guru Darrell Paulson from Advanced Restoration Specialist Inc.
Darrell will be speaking on “The State of the Cleaning and Restoration Industries.” There will be no charge to CFI members ($15 for non-members). As a bonus there will be an all-you-can-eat BBQ. Orange/Inland Empire Chapter Director Graham Bedwell announces that the May meeting will feature “Xactimate and Sewer Remediation” with Pat Moffett at ACR Services in San Bernardino. Details are soon to be announced.
There will be a CFI meeting at Routley Enterprises 1323 Logan Avenue, Costa Mesa on June 2 (details to be announced), and for the planners, a meeting to be held at Routley Enterprises Oct. 7 featuring PROCHEM Western Sales Manager Tim Baker. As a special CFI membership bonus, Routley Enterprises is offering CFI members a 20 percent discount on chemicals.
Central Coast/Northern California Chapter Director Rick Lewis reports that the “McVolunteer Day” cleaning project at the Ronald McDonald House in Stanford was very successful. There were 13 “McCFI” members who participated. Companies included: Lewis Carpet Cleaners, San Mateo; Elegant Floors, Mountain View; Carpet Maintenance Cleaning Supplies, San Mateo; Flawless Cleaning; Pacific Grove; McNevin, South San Francisco; and Cole Carpet Cleaners from the Bay Area. Extra special thanks our good friends at CTI Pro`s Choice who donated all the cleaning supplies, and provided free spotting kits valued at $100 to all the companies that volunteered.
The “Cleaners Coffee Club” held at ProLine Carpet Maintenance Supply is going strong at their locations in San Carlos and Sacramento. Everyone is invited to join in for free. The meetings in Sacramento are held on the first Monday of every month; the meetings in San Carlos are held on the first Tuesday of every month. Arizona Chapter Director Norma McCormick reports that CFI members are pitching in to do a charity event for “Maggie’s Place,” a home for unwed moms in the Valley. CFI members will be donating time and materials to clean the tile, carpet, and upholstery at their three houses and staff house.
