CFI Chapter Updates



Los Angeles Chapter Director Vince Attardo reports that the LA Chapter held a successful chapter meeting, with 30-plus attendees sitting in on a discussion with past CFI Director Al Casas and IICRC Vice President Darrell Paulsen.

Al shared how to do a proper pre-inspection, while Darrell laid out how two-thirds of the economy is driven by the service industry, emphasizing the importance of meeting or exceeding the standard level of care when providing cleaning and restoration services.

Orange/Inland Empire Chapter Director Graham Bedwell announces a joint Regional Education Day (RED) for Aug. 22 to be held in conjunction with the L.A. chapter at Central California Supply, 1835 Dawns Way, in Fullerton. This will be an all-day event with food, door prizes, and a swap meet. There will also be hands-on demonstrations on dryer vent cleaning, air duct cleaning, bonnet cleaning, truckmount cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, and more. The Central Coast/Northern California Chapter’s “Cleaners Coffee Club” meets at Pro Line Carpet Maintenance Supply in both San Carlos and Sacramento. The meetings in Sacramento are held on the first Monday of every month; the meetings in San Carlos are held on the first Tuesday of every month. For information call Rick Lewis at 650-766-5630.

The Arizona “CFI Master Mind Group” invites everyone to a breakfast meeting in Phoenix on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 am. Any and all are encouraged to attend for brainstorming on any issues or problems they might be encountering. The latest San Diego chapter meeting was held at the recently remodeled facilities of Marcco Cleaning and Restoration in Santee. The discussion included “How companies are adapting to the recessionary environment including changing pricing structures,” “Update on the Connections Convention,” and “What’s happening in the restoration industry with new technologies.”

The chapter’s monthly breakfast meeting is held at 7:30am on the first Tuesday of each month.. You can gain knowledge on what works and what doesn’t in chemicals, marketing, procedures, machinery, etc. If you are new, come and learn from the pros.
