Orange/Inland Empire Assistant Chapter Director Jason Hensley says his chapter recently completed a Clean-Up Day at the Ronald McDonald House in Orange, Calif. Present that day were Ken and Dave from Beacon Carpet Cleaning, Kristian from Carpet Solutions, Terry From Terence Jones Carpet Cleaning, Jorge and George from Ultimate Carpet Cleaning and Jason from Pacific Carpet Care. They cleaned all the carpets, upholstery (including leather), and stripped and waxed all the sheet vinyl of the 12,500-square-foot home in about six hours. Certification and experience goes a long way on a job like this! Thanks to Anne Vittum from CTI Pro’s Choice for providing the chemicals needed and Ann Bedwell from Chemspec for supplying Spotting kits.
Ronald McDonald House provided breakfast and lunch for the hungry cleaners. Executive Director Deborah Levy and Director of Operations, Sheri Basley both raved at the awesome job performed by the CFI. Great job!

Northern California Chapter Director Matt Cole reports the meeting at Carpet Maintenance Supply in San Mateo with Chemspec was attended by 20 cleaners. Noel Frank of Chemspec gave a great presentation on how our cleaning industry has changed so much over the years. With over 35 years’ experience, Noel talked about the history of wall-to-wall carpet, and of the challenges of how to try to clean it. He also explained how the different methods have evolved over the years and cleaning products. Everyone had a lot of questions and Noel had all the answers. One lucky person won a California-approved Chemspec spotting kit that he was very happy to receive. Thanks to Ray from Carpet Maintenance Supply for the great Mexican dinner and desert. Next time Noel will talk about upholstery cleaning, see you there.
