MoreThe Carpet & FabriCare Institute’s carpet cleaning, mold remediation, and water damage restoration Symposium & Showcase held at the Torrance Marriott in Torrance, Calif. in July 2006 was such an overwhelming success that CFI has elected to return with a “New and Improved” Symposium for 2007. Once again shining a spotlight on issues the industry is faced with today, CFI will include additional educational tracks addressing “Back To Basics” for the cleaning industry dealing with upholstery, carpets, rugs and odor.
As there tends to be a certain gloss applied to any topic that may hold even the slightest whiff of controversy, from the opening welcome to the closing remarks you can once again expect a spin-free look at some of the ins and outs of the carpet cleaning, restoration and remediation industry, while at the same time dealing with some new topics such as ozone, wet-cleaning techniques for mold remediation and more.
The purpose of the event is to provide cutting-edge information to the stewards of our industry with support from our vendors who provide us with the tools and equipment needed to keep us at the forefront of the latest technologies.
You can expect a lineup of the industries leading experts as our guest speakers. As you may recall, at last year’s event we had quite a lineup of industry experts, including RestCon Environmental’s Jim Holland, ET&T’s Peter Sierck, and well-known speaker and attorney Ed Cross. The Symposium Panel featured Water Out Drying Corp.’s Charles Cressy, Steve Rush of Environmental Inspection & Solutions, Advanced Restoration Specialists’ Darrell Paulsen and Dr. Owen Seiver and Dr. John Schillinger of Environmental Home Consultants. It is our hope and plan to see some or all of these experts return for another outstanding event.
