Clipperton develops new training program



Gary Clipperton, vice president of ICAN and president of the National Pro Clean Corp., has developed a new training program known as FUNdamentals of Cleaning designed to address the training and learning challenges faced by many in the cleaning industry.

FUNdamentals of Cleaning helps individuals that require detailed assistance in grasping the nuances of various cleaning procedures, or that require longer training periods, Clipperton says. Learning abilities and disabilities also come into play.

"Our industry teaches the ‘what,' but fails to explain the ‘why' and the ‘what if,'" Clipperton says. "New employees are taught to perform a task, but they may not be told why it must be done that way or the consequences if proper procedures aren't followed."
