The Cleaning and Restoration Association continues to grow, now reaching more than 125 members and continuously working to advance its members’ interests. The CRA outreach program, website presence, and referral services are proving to be effective; we have had several members report back to us that they have received multiple projects as a result of these services.

The President of CRA, Leo Grover from Pinnacle Emergency Management, was interviewed by KFBK Talk Radio regarding clean-up activities resulting from a gas line explosion in San Bruno, Calif. When asked about the availability of qualified restoration firms, Grover referenced the Cleaning and Restoration Association and recommended that those property owners that were searching for restoration companies go to CRA’s website to locate member firms in their area.

As a result of Grover’s reference to the CRA website, a CRA member received a call and was immediately called out to San Bruno for a major project.

Grover also organized a regional disaster preparedness program, which CRA recently sponsored. This was a unique networking opportunity for the association. CRA’s goals at this event were to promote the outreach program and our members’ services to property managers while learning key points in being prepared for a natural disaster. The audience consisted of property managers and risk managers; Red Cross was a presence, as well as Citizens Voice with the Safely Out program. Events such as Hurricane Katrina were recalled and highlighted as learning experiences, helping to teach us how we can better prepare ourselves and our businesses for disaster situations.

CRA is looking forward to expanding its committees and is currently looking for volunteers to fill certain positions. To find more information on the Cleaning and Restoration Association, please visit or call (916) 736-1100.
