DFS Commercial Acquires Northern California Division of The Invironmentalists

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2005--DFS Commercial, Inc. announced its acquisition of the greater San Francisco bay area division of The Invironmentalists, the leading provider of commercial flooring products, installation, and maintenance services in northern California. Formerly know as DuPont Flooring Systems, The Invironmentalists(TM) is owned by subsidiaries of INVISTA, an integrated polymers, intermediates, and fibers business with a global presence in more than 30 countries.

Cory Ravid, CEO of DFS Commercial, indicated that a number of factors offered a compelling value proposition in support of the acquisition. "First and foremost, the existing strength and talent of the management team, with decades of experience and a devotion to deliver unparalleled customer service, was demonstrated by the strong existing relationships with the premier end-users, property managers, and general contractors in the region. We are thrilled to have retained 100% of our sales, project management, and labor personnel throughout the change in ownership in order to ensure a seamless transition for our customer base."

Ravid added, "A primary incentive was the ability to acquire an exclusive right to distribute ResisTech, a patented carpet maintenance solution. ResisTech will enable us to combine the industry's premier chemical solution with our experienced team of maintenance professionals in response to our customers' increasing demands for a proactive carpet maintenance program. In light of these factors and the market resurgence in new construction and tenant improvements, we believe we are well poised to continue providing our quality services to an expanding customer base."
