FARNHAM, QUEBEC -- Jan Lembregts has been appointed president of the Domco Tarkett Resilient Division, effective Oct. 1, according to Ulf Mattsson, president and CEO. He replaces John Gallo who retired in July 2001.
Lembregts will oversee all resilient functions including manufacturing, research and development, quality assurance and product management. Rolf Basler, who has been serving since July as interim president of the division, will remain with the company through December to assist Lembregts as he familiarizes himself with company operations and to assure a smooth transition, said Mattsson.
Lembregts had been president of Beaulieu Canada since 1998 following Beaulieu's acquisition of Peerless Carpet Corporation and the subsequent merger of Peerless with Coronet Carpets and Beaulieu of Canada, Inc. Beaulieu Canada has six manufacturing facilities and 1700 employees.
