The exhibit hall doors were thrown open Wednesday night, and more than 200 exhibitors welcomed attendees of the 2008 Connections Convention and Trade Show.
An active, invigorated crowd cruised the aisles, taking in
the latest products and innovations the industry has to offer.
Hands-on demonstrations; manufacturer-sponsored
presentations; the outside demo area; all cylinders seemed to be firing as the
night progressed.
Taking up residence again at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and
Casino, Connections is the largest event for the cleaning and restoration
industry.
The underpinning of the event – the support and cooperation
of 13 trade associations (AWCC; CRCII; FIO; MSPCA; NYRCI; PCRA; TRSCA; CFI;
CCINW; LMCCA; NEIRC; PCUCA and SCRT) – continues to highlight the strength of
the industry.
The day also saw a number of educational events, including
“Maximizing Your Investment in Directed Heat Drying” ; “Specialty Stain
Removal”; “The Color of Money, The Power of Going Green”; “Get the Real Picture
with Infrared Technology”;
“Bringing Green to Extreme Soils and Stains Opens New Markets for
Professional Cleaners”; “Discover the Latest and Greatest Marketing Strategies
in the Carpet Cleaning Industry”; “How Dry is Dry?”; “How to Simplify Your
Marketing” and more.
Connections Events President Craig Kersemeier will
officially open the show Thursday morning. Check back often for more updates
from the show.
