Dri-Eaz dehu shows off at Connections Conference

May 27, 2009 – Burlington, Wash. – The new LGR 2800i from Dri-Eaz Products created quite a buzz at the Connections East conference, held May 13–16 in Clearwater Beach, Fla., especially when booth staff removed the ten screws to take off its covers and show its easy cleaning and maintenance.

Booth visitors were eager to see this new “intelligent” high-performance dehumidifier in action. At the Dri-Eaz booth Education Manager Brandon Burton and Sales Manager Steve Fane demonstrated the unit to interested crowds. “Not only were there lots of positive comments about the way the unit looks and how easy it is to maintain,” said Burton, “many were impressed by the unit’s performance, pulling 130 AHAM pints while drawing just 8 amps. This pints-per-amp rating, verified by many hours of environmental chamber testing, makes the 2800i a dominant performer in the market.”

The LGR2800i is also the first dehumidifier to utilize true adaptive controls to maximize performance. Using built-in sensors, the unit continuously monitors inlet and outlet temperatures and humidity, and displays this information. “A lot of the customers liked the fact that the unit displays the inlet and outlet conditions in real time,” said Fane. “They consistently noted how much time this will save techs in terms of monitoring drying conditions.”

The 2800i system uses the sensor data to adjust fan speed, defrost cycles and other factors in order to optimize performance in every condition, including high temperatures and in low humidity (low grain) environments.

“One customer congratulated us,” said Burton, “He said we’ve hit a home run with this one.”
