September 1, 2009 – Burlington, Wash. – The new Dri-Eaz Big Gulp 4500 truckmount extractor will make its debut when it extracts the flood demonstration area at Connections. Purpose-built for flood extraction, the unit brings new power and performance, plus easy maintenance, to restoration jobs.
The Big Gulp was designed and engineered by truckmount veteran Mike Roden, who designed the unit for maximum durability and specified premium quality materials – such as the extra-strength stainless steel recovery tank. Equipped with a powerful Briggs and Stratton 35 HP gasoline engine and a Gardner Denver 410 Vacuum Pump, the unit delivers 600 CFM of extraction power.
Roden also designed the unit to be efficient and easy to operate. The 4500 includes dual 2½ inch vacuum ports, a vacuum gauge, and an hour meter and can be equipped with an Auto Pumpout option, which provides 50 GPM waste disposal. Simple, pushbutton operation makes it easy for any crew to use. A high capacity 3-inch waste dump port provides for quick tank emptying and easy tank cleanout.
“This truckmount delivers the kind of performance the restoration professional needs,” says Brandon Burton, Dri-Eaz Technical Education Manager. “It makes fast work of floods, big or small, so that customers can get into the structure quickly and start drying. We’ve been using it on our Restoration Sciences Academy flood house, and it’s amazing how much faster we’re extracting during classes, especially when paired up with the Rover.”
The Big Gulp truckmount is one of the first results of the new collaboration between BLUEline Equipment and Dri-Eaz Products.
