MoreWILMINGTON, Del. -(Dow Jones)- DuPont & Co.'s DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers unit will raise the price of its Elvax EVA copolymer resin by 5 cents a pound, effective Feb. 1.
In a press release Friday, DuPont said it was raising the price because of increased feedstock costs and rising market demand.
DuPont said feedstock costs have doubled in the past 12 months, with much of the increase occurring in the past 30 days.
The resins, which are copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate, are used in the manufacture of flexible packaging, hot melt adhesives and other applications in the transportation, construction and consumer goods industries.
