Atlanta -- BioShield Technologies Inc. has received two additional EPA registrations for its core products. EPA registration numbers 70871-1 and 70871-12 will allow Bioshield's 1860 (institutional) and AM500 (household) patented antimicrobial products to be used by firms that manufacture polyurethane and cellulose foam for household, industrial, and institutional sponges and mops. Bioshield management estimates that these products offer a great deal of additional potential for implementation of their antimicrobial products. Mops and sponges are products that are commonly used everyday and damp conditions often make them a breeding ground for bacteria at the same time they are meant for cleaning surfaces.
