ATLANTA - The Home Depot is expanding a key building supply unit with the purchase of a West Coast flooring business.

The Atlanta-based company said Tuesday it has completed the purchase of Creative Touch Interiors, a start-to-finish design center for homebuilders in Southern California and Las Vegas.

Terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition will be folded into Home Depot's division that offers flooring, countertops, window treatments and design services. The unit targets the $25 billion in finished products and services consumed annually in new home construction.

Home Depot said the purchase will extend the reach of its Builder Solutions Group from coast to coast.

Creative Touch Interiors has 200 employees and its flagship location is in San Diego. Its president, Jeffrey Sears, will remain in his leadership role at CTI, Home Depot said without elaborating.
