The International Association of Mold Remediation Specialists (IAMRS) is offering a new Master Certification Remediation program.

The MCR program consists of two years of fieldwork or a degree in related industry, as well as attendance at an IAMRS-approved mold school; documentation proving OSHA compliance-appropriate insurance, employee training and written operational procedures; and a passing score on an IAMRS examination demonstrating knowledge of guidelines and standards for mold remediation.

The new program sets higher standards than what previously existed in the industry, according to the association.
