The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification held its last certification council meeting for 2005 in October at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver , Wash.
The meeting featured a presentation on the Reets Evaporation Method of drying; updates on both the S500 Standard for Water Damage Restoration and the S520 Standard for Professional Mold Remediation; and updates on the various courses and technologies impacting the IICRC and the cleaning and restoration industries, including the X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology now beginning to be used to help quantify soil removal.
