The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification recently held its first Mold Remediation Standard Task Force meeting in Sacramento, Calif. Larry Cooper is the chairperson of the task force, with Barry Costa serving as secretary.

The Standard Committee determined that it would publish a White Paper during the first quarter of 2003 for peer review and comments. Following the review period, the committee will use the information and proceed with the writing of the IICRC Mold Remediation Standard.

The task force is working in conjunction with the IICRC S500 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration Revision Committee in updating information for the industry.
