VANCOUVER, WA (August 8, 2002) - The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification announced that its Certification Board Chairman, Jeff Bishop and Marketing Committee Chairwoman, Ruth Travis were both recently inducted into the Cleaning Management Institute Hall of Fame during the annual CMI luncheon at CM Expo 2002.

The CMI Hall of Fame luncheon, which highlighted the first day of the Expo at the Cleveland Convention Center, recognized seven industry professionals for their contributions - whether in the past year or over a lifetime of work - to cleaning. As two of the three Hall of Fame inductees, Bishop, a regular columnist for ICS Cleaning Specialist magazine, and Travis have contributed many years of service and have greatly enhanced the professionalism of the cleaning industry. Both are volunteers to the IICRC.

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification is the certification registry that develops and monitors educational programs and standards for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry. Founded in 1972, IICRC is the largest non-profit registry of inspectors, cleaners and restorers serving the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Australia. IICRC is owned and controlled by 16 regional and international industry trade associations. IICRC does not own schools, employ instructors, produce training materials or promote specific product brands, cleaning methods or systems. It approves schools and instructors that meet the criteria established by the IICRC. IICRC also serves as a consumer referral source for certified firms, technicians and inspectors.
