VANCOUVER, Wash. --The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC, www.iicrc.org) will offer a Certified Floor Care (CFC) Technician Course in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 22-23, following ISSA/Interclean-USA 2001 convention, Oct. 16-19.

The seminar will provide technical information and demonstrations on the proper procedures, chemicals and equipment needed to identify, clean, maintain and restore all common types of floor covering materials. This includes floor coverings used in commercial, health care, food service, industrial and residential properties, as well as specialty applications such as computer rooms, clean rooms and laboratories.

Surfaces covered in the technician certification course include wood, laminate, stone, ceramic, terrazzo, marble, concrete, epoxy, VCT and VAT tile and sheet goods.

IICRC recently approved the CFC certification category, course and manual. William R. Griffin will teach the course. He is only one of six instructors in the world approved by IICRC to teach the course. Each attendee will receive a copy of the recently-revised 250 page Floor Care Technician Manual, which Griffin co-authored with Glen Franklin, Bob Merkt, Stan Hulin and Carl Williams.

Seating is limited, so it's important to reserve your seat. For more information or to reserve your attendance, call (206) 682-9748, or visit www.cleaningconsultants.com/pages/seminars/fact.html.
