Independent firms gather for IMACC meeting

More than 200 independent restoration and loss-mitigation professionals gathered together in a meeting of the Independent Mitigation and Cleaning / Conservation Network in Chicago.

Attendees heard how "banding together to combat the growing power of the national chains will be accomplished through the knowledge and skill of the IMACC's professional team as they market the great strength of the leading independents' reputations for quality in the marketplace," according to the IMACC.

"We have formed the IMACC to give independent contractors aggressive national marketing and outstanding representation to hundreds of insurers at the home-office level," IMACC President and CEO Patrick Harmon said. "It provides the ability to build intelligent relationships with the...commercial captive insurer/broker market."
