VANCOUVER, WA - October 29, 2002 - Jeff Bishop, former Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification Vice-President and Chairman of the Certification Board, has been selected as the newly contracted IICRC Technical Advisor. Bishop will oversee the continuation and development of technical information for IICRC's 18 certification categories and three industry standards, while representing the organization in many other technical issues.

A second-generation restorer, Bishop's expertise include: IICRC-Certified Master Cleaning Technician, Master Restoration Technician, Carpet Inspector, Vinyl, Wood and Laminate Flooring Inspector, and Mold Remediation Supervisor. He is a consultant to various fiber producers, carpet mills and insurance training schools, and is a long-time contributor to ICS Cleaning Specialist. He serves on the advisory board of the Insurance Technical Training Institute and as a director of the International Society of Cleaning Technicians.

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification is the certification registry that develops and monitors educational programs and standards for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry. Founded in 1972, IICRC is the largest non-profit registry of inspectors, cleaners and restorers serving the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Australia. IICRC is owned and controlled by 16 regional and international industry trade associations. IICRC does not own schools, employ instructors, produce training materials or promote specific product brands, cleaning methods or systems. It approves schools and instructors that meet the criteria established by the IICRC. IICRC also serves as a consumer referral source for certified firms, technicians and inspectors.
