Los Angeles -- Industry veteran Aaron Cohen has returned to American Building Maintenance Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Inc., following an absence of more than 17 years. Cohen has rejoined ABM Co. as a vice president for the Southwestern regions at the peak of his celebrated and long career.
In 1976, Cohen first joined American Building Maintenance after working for more than 12 years at another janitorial firm. Over time, Cohen was increasingly promoted to positions that demanded more responsibility until he parted from the company in 1984. Cohen left to start his own business, which merged later on with another company. After approximately 17 years as a fellow competitor, Cohen has returned to where he started his career. Larry T. Smith, senior vice president for the Southwestern regions of ABM commented, “We are delighted to have Aaron back on board, and look forward to a renewed and expanded relationship.”
Cohen maintains an active role in his local community and the facility services industry, serving as a member of the board of the Century City Chamber of Commerce, as an executive Board member of the Marine Scholarships Foundation, and by participating in the Building Owners and Managers Association.
American Building Maintenance operates more than 200 branch offices nationwide, serving 38 states and 36 of the 40 largest major metropolitan areas across the country.
