In recognition of the important role that proper floor maintenance plays in maximizing safety, the International Sanitary Supply Association and ASTM International are coming together to co-sponsor a full-day program on the subject of "Technology of Floor Maintenance and Current Trends" on Monday, Oct. 14, at the Las Vegas Convention Center immediately before the ISSA/Interclean 2003 Convention.
The program is designed to provide an open environment where all aspects of current and future floor maintenance technologies can be discussed. The symposium is tentatively scheduled to address a number of topics critical to proper floor maintenance, including:
The impact of floor traffic on floor maintenance procedures.
An overview of floor finish technology in laymen's terms.
The important role of soil prevention and removal.
Proper floor maintenance for different environments.
Slip-and-fall incidents: prevention and liability.
Slip resistance and portable slip testers.
The program is directed at a non-technical audience comprised of building maintenance employees, executive housekeepers, specialty chemical sales professionals and individuals associated with manufacturing.
The symposium is scheduled to take place from 9:00-4:30 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. ISSA/Interclean Convention attendees must register separately for the symposium.
