Lincolnwood, Ill. – In keeping with its goals to expand its worldwide leadership role and recognition, the International Sanitary Supply Association Inc. (ISSA) has formed an agreement with AFIDAMP, a Milan, Italy-based association for the cleaning and maintenance industry. The agreement is for a minimum duration of three years.

According to the ISSA, this alliance represents a major step forward in ISSA’s globalization plans. ISSA hs also announced that it is holding discussions with other associations in Europe and on other continents to form other similar alliances.

Under the partnership, both parties have agreed to cooperate and support each other’s programs and membership goals. All 180 AFIDAMP members will become members of ISSA and benefit from the association’s membership services. Both parties will have access to each other’s membership directories and web sites. ISSA will also encourage its Italian members who are not already part of AFIDAMP to become AFIDAMP members. Under the agreement, AFIDAMP may republish ISSA articles, Internet information, and most ISSA Today magazine materials in Italian to reach AFIDAMP members in Italy through AFIDAMP’s newsletter Folio.

In addition, ISSA members interested in developing business in the Italian market will be able to use the services that AFIDAMP offers and have access to the many AFIDAMP distributor members. As a part of the alliance, ISSA will also promote the Pulire show in Verona, Italy, to its worldwide members, and AFIDAMP will promote the ISSA/INTERCLEAN shows to its members throughout the world.

Furthermore, ISSA and AFIDAMP will co-sponsor educational programs and seminars in each other’s languages to promote and enhance each other’s respective brand names. Both associations will select existing educational programs for adaptation and use in Italy.
