Lincolnwood, IL, USA, November 5,
2009-ISSA, the worldwide cleaning-industry association, will exhibit at the
2009 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, November 11-13, at the Phoenix
Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Exhibiting in Booth 612, ISSA will update attendees on the latest information about the cleaning industry and how cleaning furthers the green-building movement. Specifically, the association will share details about its green cleaning programs, including the recently released Cleaning Industry Management Standard-Green Building (CIMS-GB) criteria.
“Greenbuild is an excellent venue to reach out to the green-building community and provide education on the value of cleaning,” said ISSA Market Development Manager-Facility Service Programs Annie Balonick. “Particularly, we look forward to spreading the word about ISSA’s new CIMS-GB designation and discuss how it can benefit the industry.”
Building owners and managers can use CIMS-GB, in particular, as a prequalification tool to select cleaning-service providers that can help them achieve LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance, or LEED-EB: O&M, points through environmentally preferable cleaning procedures and management practices.
Greenbuild attendees and media personnel are encouraged to visit ISSA in Booth 612 for details about CIMS-GB and a host of additional green-related resources, including ISSA Green Cleaning University, ISSA and Ecoform’s Information-Based Environmental Label initiative for cleaning products, and the association’s Guide to Green Cleaning Procurement Policies.
