Lincolnwood, IL, USA-ISSA is proud to announce the winners of the 2008-09 ISSA Foundation Scholarship Awards. This year, the ISSA Foundation awarded more than 50 scholarships, totaling nearly US$160,000, which includes one University of Industrial Distribution (UID) Scholarship Award issued earlier in the year. The scholarships are made possible by the generous contributions of ISSA-member companies and individuals.
In addition to ISSA District Scholarship Awards-and thanks to the generosity of specific ISSA-member firms, regional sanitary supply associations, and the Canadian Sanitation Supply Association-the following scholarships were available to candidates within the general membership: the Louis G. Goorland Award; the Edward Lane National Sanitary Supply Co. Award (presented to the district scholarship award recipient deemed most worthy, bringing his/her total scholarship dollar amount to $6,000); the New England Sanitary Supply Association Award; two New Jersey Sanitary Supply Association Awards; the NYCO/Robert J. & MaryAnn Stahurski Award; the Roger & Victoria Parrott Award; the Jack D. Ramaley Award ($12,000 over a four-year period to a single individual who maintains a B-or-above average for that time period); the Samuel A.
